Michael Slavick
NetDefense International

Michael Slavick manages a diverse team of experts specializing in computer forensics, network intrusion, data breach investigations, litigation readiness consulting and e-discovery response services. Since creating NetDefense, Slavick has provided clients with expert advice on digital investigations, tactical e-discovery response and strategic litigation preparedness. He has been involved in or has overseen dozens of complex engagements concerning security reviews, identity theft, white-collar crime, network intrusion incidents, loss of personal customer or employee data and all manner of internal corporate investigations.

Slavick is also a Special Investigator for the Monument Police Department in charge for running the Computer Crimes Unit. His duties have included computer & cell phone forensics, data recovery, identity theft investigations and many other facets of crime that involved varying degrees of technology involvement

Slavick has obtained certifications such as ACSA, CCNA, Security+, Network+, CHFI, CEECS, CISSP, CCE, MCP, MCSE: Security and his MCSA: Security. He has also attended numerous training courses instructed by the CFTCO, DISA, ISC², IACIS, AccessData, Sourcefire, SEARCH and SANS.


John San Agustin
Integrated Network

John San Agustin leads a company that provides case analysis, design and courtroom support for law enforcement agencies throughout the United States, as well as numerous law firms using the latest in multimedia technology. San Agustin has been involved in a vast amount of tort investigations and provides analytical support to various economic crimes for cases that include contract liens and various types of fraud and theft.

John has worked numerous high profile cases as it relates to forensics, investigations and financial frauds. Some of these cases include “People of the State of California v. Scott Peterson”, The Jon Benet Ramsey Murder Investigation and the Re-Investigation of Daniel Rohrbough’s Death at Columbine High School. Along with a long list of tv news appearances, John also travels the country giving lectures to law enforcement agencies and law firms regarding multimedia evidence.

San Agustin is also an Inspector with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit. He supervises the Financial Crimes Unit, Computer Crimes Unit, Victim Advocates, Evidence Facility, Cold Case Unit and the Metro Crime Lab personnel. He has also testified before the Colorado House Judiciary Committee.
