If you experience a hard drive crash, it doesn’t take much to make a bad situation even worse. In the event of a hard drive crash, in most instances, the data is completely recoverable at first. However, some people  try to avoid the costs associated with hard drive data recovery in order to find some sort of “quick fix” to a very serious problem

DATA RECOVERY DONT'S

When trying a self recovery option, it is advisable not to do the following:

1. DO NOT FREEZE the hard drive
2. Do not shake or bang
3. Avoid running scandisk on a drive that you suspect has failed.
4. Do not attempt to format the drive or change partition parameters.
